These Homes Sleighed the Competition!

21906 Cosala Mission Viejo received 1st Place for the “new kids on the block” category. We loved this house because they have a walk through experience as well as a lawn display. DIrectly across the street is a Hall of Fame house so this is a great area to visit.
South OC doesn’t do subtle when it comes to holiday lights. Extension cords are stretched to their limits, inflatable Santas are living dangerously on rooftops, and festive ambition is unchecked.
And now the judges have spoken. The lights are locked in. The bragging rights are confirmed.
Here are the homes that officially sleighed the competition this year. 🎄✨

THIS WEEK'S SNAPSHOT...
This week, we’re sitting outside the Sawdust Winter Fantasy in Laguna Beach, where the summer tradition gets a festive winter glow. Same creative energy, same winding paths and local artists, just dressed up for the season with lights, music, and a holiday feel. Last night for Winter Fantasy is December 21!
About Us:
Lorna’s an OC native who has lived in Spain, France and New Zealand but always returns home for the tacos, the trails, and the beautiful tree-lined streets of Mission Viejo.
Jason’s a Brit who swapped pub life for paddleboards and now splits his time between aquascaping and crafting perfect cocktails. We started The Scene because there’s so much to see, do, and savor.
Thanks for letting us be a small part of your weekend.
🧐 Trivia Answer ✅ Answer: B — A restaurant for ranchers and miners
Cook’s Corner didn’t start as a biker bar. It originated in 1926, when Earl Jack “E.J.” Cook converted a small cabin on the family’s land into a restaurant serving ranchers and miners in Trabuco Canyon.
After Prohibition ended in the 1930s, it became a local bar, drawing canyon regulars and weekend riders cruising the winding roads nearby. In the 1970s, new owners with ties to the motorcycle industry leaned into that crowd, helping cement Cook’s Corner as the iconic biker hangout it’s known as today.
It’s A Wrap..
